“Nanjing Week” to enter London Design Festival

The organization committee of "Nanjing Week" of London Design Festival 2016 held a press conference on July 7 and disclosed information on exhibits and activities during the "Nanjing Week".

The year 2016 marks the 400th anniversary of the deaths of Tang Xianzu, a Chinese playwright in the Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644), and William Shakespeare, a British dramatist. The highlights of "Nanjing Week" will be activities about the oriental and western drama masters, including performances at Shakespeare's Globe and interactions between China's Kunqu opera artists and local British residents on the streets of London.

In addition, Nanjing culture will be showcased through a mobile "living room" in recreational vehicles with an unfolding area of 63 square meters and a folding area of 18 square meters.

"Nanjing Week" will be held from Sept 19 to 25 at London Design Festival 2016.
